Ophthalmologist Kenneth Hainsworth, MD, focuses on eye health in patients of all ages. Before joining Saltzer in 2002, Dr. Hainsworth completed a four-year residency in medical school. He treats eye and medical conditions, prescribes glasses and conducts surgery. In this episode, Dr. Hainsworth uses plain language to talk about prescribing glasses for 14-year-olds with blurry vision, the causes of pink eye in children, the impact of diabetes and glaucoma, and the importance of regular eye exams. Dr. Hainsworth is bilingual as a result of living in South America for two years. He says that he uses his Spanish language skills daily at his Saltzer Health clinics in Nampa and Caldwell.
